Max Lucado DVD for kids

I’m a college student, and when I decided to request the kid’s DVD movie called Skeeter and the Mystery of the Lost Mosquito Treasure, I had to laugh at myself. But it sounded intriguing and I do love animated movies.

Turns out it was really impressive. It has a great story line based on Psalm 139: 13-14, which says, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well (NIV).

As I hoped this movie held my attention and had me laughing. The narrators did a good job and it had creative animation, fun music, humor and a great underlying message. I’d say this movie is best for the younger generation (younger than me even :)), but would also be good in a childrens church classroom too.

I think this movie has a good message for all of us really. God has made us all unique, and there is a reason for that. It helps us to see that we need to be accepting of people no matter what they may look like on the outside (or inside). God knew us even before we were born and created us the way we are for a purpose, and our job is to praise Him in return.

I think this lesson is an important one to teach, especially in the culture we live in.
